Inspiration and vision are the most important tools for an artist.
Unlike other projects as Identities, to which I have dedicated more then half of an year, Breathing skin was conceived in around 3 weeks and made in less than 6 hours.
We should really let ourselves get inspired by everything around us and the creation will come. I have been asked recently by a student how did I choose fine art? How do I get all this ideas. Simple, I did not search what I want to take pictures of, I simply wanted to photograph people. Also, I always wanted a part of me as child to survive. Therefore, I think we should try to see the world with wonder, we should ask questions without being afraid we would be criticized, we should day dream more.
The idea of Breathing Skin came in an early morning while taking a shower and observing the fog from the hot water and the drops on the shower glass walls. While letting myself inspired, I relived all the feelings I had over the years while having a shower. From joy to emptiness, to sorrow, then happiness or fragility, sensuality or curiosity, sometimes nudity and femininity.
